Montgomery TennisPlex now offers fitness training for youth and adults seeking to improve athletic performance, improve general fitness and/or prevent injuries. Marceleus Venable, the new Fitness Director, brings 12 years of experience and over 25,000 clocked training hours to the PLEX. He is a certified personal trainer through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.  He also holds several specialized certifications in Youth Fitness, Posture, Flexibility and ACL Prevention. People can now take advantage of the variety of programs offered.

The athletic performance program is for athletes starting from age 9 and up who compete in field or court sports. This high performance development program is the answer if you want to gain the competitive advantage through strength, speed, agility and quickness training. These sport-specific workouts are offered on an individual, small group or team basis and ensure that athletic goals are met while minimizing the risk to injury.

The youth training program is for ages 5 through 14. This program improves motor, spatial and cognitive skills through movement-based games and obstacle courses. Due to a reduction in physical education in many schools and a general lack of activity, childhood obesity and similar health challenges have become pervasive and this program ensures that youth get high quality exercise and have fun at the same time.

Time: 6:30-7:15am (day) ,or 7:00-7:45pm (evening)
Session: TBA (3 classes/week for 4-weeks)
Cost: $180

Start your NEW YEAR on the right foot by burning calories and living an energized life! Jumpstart your fitness and break through plateaus in this 45-minute multi-functional circuit. Increase your metabolism and transform your body into a fat burning machine that melts away fat. Challenge yourself to this high intensity class and watch your body transform before your eyes. Finally be a part of the 8% who are successful in setting and sticking to their resolution goals. All fitness levels are welcome!

Register for either 6:30am day class OR 7:00pm evening class.

Session: TBA (3 classes/week for 4-weeks)

This class is for the fitness enthusiast with a full schedule who wants to break up the day to get in a quality workout and increase productivity. This 30-minute, fast paced, high intensity class will have you sweating and re-energized for the 2nd half of your day!  So if you are ready and up for a super challenging workout then this class is for you. For the experienced exerciser!

BUTTS n’ GUTS (for Women)
Days: Tuesday and Thursday
Times: 9:30-10:15am or 12:00-12:45pm
Session: TBA (2 classes/week for 4-weeks)
Cost:  $180

Calling all women who want to target all those trouble areas and show their true beauty. This 45-minute class for WOMEN ONLY is designed to tone up, carve fat, and shape the body to be toned and well proportioned.  Be prepared to drop inches and buy smaller clothes! All fitness levels are welcome!

Register for either 9:30am class OR 12:00 noon class.

Days: Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 7:30-7:45pm
Session: TBA (2 classes/week for 4-weeks)
Cost:  $200

This is your after work stress reliever. This 45-minute total body workout will challenge you in every way.  Punch, kick, and slam stress in its face and release some tension from a hard day’s work. This class uses bodyweight exercises, medicine balls, dumbbells, and much more all coupled into a fantastic workout. All fitness levels are welcome!

E.A.T. (Elite Athletic Training)
Day: Saturday
Time: 1:00-2:00pm
Session: TBA (1 class/week for 4-weeks)
Cost: $100

Sorry – you will not be eating in this class. ELITE ATHLETIC TRAINING is for the adult athlete who seeks to improve sports conditioning and sports performance. Just because you are not a professional athlete does not mean you cannot train like one – or look like one.  This 60-minute workout will train you through plyometrics, speed, agility, and quickness training. Watch your athleticism improve, but more importantly, watch how you dominate on the field, court of play, and even in the office. All fitness levels are welcome!




Day: Saturday
Time: 9:00-10:00am
Session: TBA (1 class/week for 4-weeks)
Cost: $100

No time to fit a workout in during your hectic work week? Or do you want to add an extra workout to your current routine? If so, this class is for you.  This 60-minute total body, fat blasting workout will have you burning calories and releasing some steam from a stressful week of work. All fitness levels are welcome!



Terms & Conditions for Fitness Classes:
1. For adults only (18+).
2. All prices are final and must be paid in advance.
3. Make-up classes will be arranged only for classes cancelled due to inclement weather.
4. The TennisPlex reserves the right to reschedule/cancel classes with enrollment of 4 or less people.
