Dasha Lennox

Dasha brings a wealth of experience and a remarkable track record to Montgomery TennisPlex as a new tennis coach. From a young age, she excelled at every stage of her playing career, consistently ranking in the top 10 in her age group across Russia before moving to Poland, where she quickly established herself as one of the top players in the girls' 16 and 18 categories. Dasha reached a career-high ranking of 330 in the ITF and was ranked in the top 600 in the WTA for both singles and doubles.

Dasha's collegiate career at the University of Oregon was nothing short of historic. She became the first player in the program's history to win the conference individual championship, clinching the Pac-10 title three consecutive times (indoor and outdoor). She holds the school record for most single-season victories and remains the all-time leader in career singles wins. Dasha qualified for the NCAA Championships three times as an individual, reaching the Sweet 16 in her sophomore year. She was honored as Pac-10 Player of the Year, a three-time All-American, and achieved a peak singles ranking of #7 in the NCAA. Dasha was a key member of three NCAA Tournament teams, helping the Ducks advance to the second round each year. Her outstanding achievements led to her becoming the first tennis player in Oregon's history to be inducted into the UO Hall of Fame.

Dasha began her coaching career at her alma mater as a volunteer assistant coach with the women's team. After a brief coaching stint in Russia working with high-performance juniors, she returned to college tennis. She spent five seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Minnesota, where she helped lead the Gophers to their first NCAA appearance in nine years. Dasha then spent seven successful seasons as the head coach at the University of Maryland. In 2017, she was named Regional Coach of the Year after transforming a program with only two players into a competitive squad, highlighted by a victory over the #11 ranked Duke. Under her leadership, multiple singles and doubles players were ranked in the top 100 nationally, and her players received numerous regional and conference awards, including All-ACC, All-Big Ten, and the Arthur Ashe Sportsmanship Award. She led the team to its most successful season in program history, achieving a top-35 NCAA ranking.

Over the last five years, Dasha has dedicated herself to working with junior players of all ages and skill levels, bringing her passion for the game and deep expertise to developing the next generation of tennis talent. At Montgomery TennisPlex, Dasha looks forward to continuing her journey of excellence and sharing her love of tennis with players of all levels.
