RED BALL – YOUNG (Ages 4-5 yrs)
An introduction to tennis for our youngest new players. Hand-eye coordination, basic movements, cooperation & games are used to teach basic skills. This class is designed to introduce tennis in a fun way to help kids establish a love for the game.

RED BALL – Beginner (Ages 6-7 yrs)
This class is designed for first-time players who have never played tennis before in an instructional setting and are eager to learn the sport. Slower low-compression red balls are used on smaller courts and shorter racquets which enable players to get a feel for the game from the first class. Players will develop coordination, sending and receiving skills, catching, hitting, and will also learn the basic tennis strokes in a fun game-based environment.

RED BALL – Advanced (Ages 6-7 yrs)
Red Ball Advanced is geared towards players who already have a good sense of the game. This class is designed to improve consistency and accuracy. The focus of the class is to develop each player’s technical game & introduce tactical concepts.
*A player must have received at least a year of tennis instruction to be in Red Ball - Advanced. Coach approval is needed if you are switching from Red Ball - Beginner to Advanced.

ORANGE BALL – Beginner (Ages 8-10 YRS)
The Orange Ball - Beginner class is designed for new players who have never played tennis before in an instructional setting. Players will learn proper stroke mechanics, stances, and movement patterns as players grow stronger. Players will improve their tracking, racquet head awareness, and swing control through a variety of technical drills, engaging games, and teamwork.

ORANGE BALL – Advanced (Ages 9-10 YRS)
In our Orange Ball - Advanced classes, players move to a larger court relevant to their size. The ball is slightly faster but continues to provide an optimal strike zone. Players will continue to work on developing more complex coordination skills with a focus on multi-directional footwork. Players will learn and understand the flight and spin of the ball and will be introduced to singles and doubles point play.
* A player must have received at least a year of tennis instruction to be in Orange Ball - Advanced. Coach approval is needed if you are switching from Orange Ball - Beginner to Advanced.

Jr. beginner (ages 11+)
This class is designed for players who have never played tennis before in an instructional setting or have little experience with the sport. The class will be taught using a combination of green dot balls and yellow balls. Players will learn the mechanics of each stroke and how to rally with other players.

NEW! JR. Gold (ages 9-12) - green dot ball class
In our NEW Jr. Gold classes, players will use the “green dot” ball, which is faster than the orange ball but still slower and lower bouncing than a standard ball. This helps players to continue to develop good technique while working on tennis point play strategies. Players will learn how to combine consistency and accuracy with shot selection.
*Required to have played tennis for multiple years. Players graduating from Orange Ball - Advanced (coach approval needed) should sign up for this class.

Gold II (ages 13+)
The Gold II class is designed for players who have several years of tennis experience and are ready to take the next step in their development. These players should be able to serve, rally, and consistently place shots at a yellow ball level. Some players may also be ready to try out for their middle/high school teams or are looking to improve on their previous season’s position.

Create an account on the Montgomery TennisPlex CourtReserve System.
To register for a class, click on "Programs" on the top menu bar and then select "Categories."
Select your preferred program.
A list of all the classes for that program will appear on the screen.
Click on the "Register" button for a specific class.
On the next page, click on "Register For Full Event."
If you have not yet set up a payment profile, you will be asked to do so.
Once your payment profile has been created, you can complete the registration.
You will receive a confirmation email of your registration.
Cancellation POLICY:
ONCE THE SESSION STARTS AND YOU WOULD LIKE TO CANCEL YOUR REGISTRATION, A $50 CANCELLATION FEE WILL BE WITHHELD.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CANCEL YOUR REGISTRATION BEFORE THE SESSION STARTS, A FULL REFUND WILL BE ISSUED.
